Ivo Stankov Born in Varna, Ivo Stankov is one of the most talented Bulgarian artists of his generation.

He has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral leader through the UK, Bulgaria, Italy, Holland, France, Spain, Lebanon, etc., in venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Glasgow Concert Hall, Westminster Parliament, De Montfort Hall, Leicester, St. George's Hall, Bradford, the RAI Congress Centre, Amsterdam and many others.

As a recitalist Ivo has performed in venues in London and through the UK and Europe. He made his debut at the Royal Albert Hall with fourteen years of age as a soloist of the New English Orchestra as part of the New Year's Eve Celebrations with Sir Cliff Richard. He also has played in front of The Queen of Denmark, Archbishop of Canterbury, members of the House of Commons, etc.

In October 2003, with duo Sonoris with pianist Marina Savova, they made their debut at the Bulgaria National Hall in Sofia under the patronage of the Bulgarian president, with a subsequent broadcast on the national TV and Radio. Prior to coming in the UK he performed frequently both as soloist and as a leader of the City of Elche Orchestra (Spain), the Baroque Orchestra Valencia and the Barvinski Camerata, under the baton of Georgio Leardini, Giuseppe Mancini, Jose Luis Garcia, Yosif Radionov, to name a few.

Ivo studied at the Dobri Hristov School of Music and Arts in Varna and in 1992 moved to Spain, where he graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in Madrid. In 2002 he completed a Postgraduate Course with Professor Erich Gruenberg at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he was awarded a full scholarship for his studies from the Christian Aid Trust. He is also a recipient of the Craxton Memorial Trust Award, London and the Honours Diploma Award from the Royal Conservatoire in Madrid.

Since leaving the Academy, Ivo has worked with many orchestras, worked in television and recording labels as well as playing for West End shows.

Forthcoming solo engagements include concerto performances with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Orchestra of All Souls in London, also making a recording with his duo, for Tower Track Records in 2004. Now based in London, Ivo continues to perform regularly as a member of Piano Trio Freude, with which will be performing at St. Martin-In-The-Fields, Halifax Chamber Music Festival, and the Banff Festival in Canada.
