Piano Trio "Spirale"
|
|
The Piano Trio "Spirale" consists of three young musicians with four different nationalities: Monica Florescu, piano (Romanian), Pedro Iram Pozos Melo, violin (Mexican) and Makcim Fernandez Samodaiev, cello (Russian-Cuban).
The ensemble was created in October 2002, but the members had already collaborated before.
Pedro I. Pozos Melo and Makcim Fernandez Samodaiev had worked together for 7 years, and they were also both members of the Silvestre Revueltas String Quartet in Mexico.
Monica Florescu had played for over a year together with Makcim Fernandez Samodaiev as a duo for cello and piano.
In the short period since it was formed, Trio Spirale has already imposed upon itself the highest professional standards. The members of the group carried out their first international tour in Mexico in February 2003, with great acclaim from the Mexican public. As result they obtained engagements for the 2003-2004 season, and became group in residence of the Centro Interarts Odessa in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. The Piano Trio "Spirale" also became representative of Rotary International after Makcim Fernandez Samodaiev was designated Ambassador of Rotary International's Club Rotario Olmeca, Dist. 4200. In April 2003 the Piano Trio "Spirale" became laureate of the Festival de Tremplin JM in Ottignies, Belgium, and was awarded concert engagements within Belgium.
