Marco Schiavo
Marco was born in Italy in 1973 and started to learn piano at the age of five. He continued his music studies at the Conservatory of Avellino, where he was a pupil of Rinalda Tassinari Skubikowski and graduated with the highest marks. Marco went on to study with Franco Scala in Imola.

A prize winner in several piano and chamber competitions, Marco has appeared as a recitalist and soloist with orchestras in Rome, Milan, Naples, Berlin, Munich, Bucharest, Toronto, New York, Buenos Aires, Montreal, Bruxelles, Bonn, Sydney, Melbourne,Moscow, S.Petersburg, Salisburg, S.Francisco, Dallas, Mexico City, Amsterdam, S.Paolo-Brazil… He has performed as a soloist with Russian State Symphony Orchestra, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra dei Prof. Del Teatro S.Carlo di Napoli, the Orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari…at Carnegie Hall of New York, Teatro Cólon of Buenos Aires, Beethoven Haus of Bonn, Teatro Monumental of Madrid, Auditorium National of Ottawa, Gasteig of Munich…

He has recorded a CD of Beethoven's first and third piano concertos with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Valery Polyansky, a CD of complete Scherzos and Ballatas of Chopin and an other with Trio Beethoven (cello, clarinet and piano) of Beethoven's Trios op.11 and 38.

His piano performance has been recorded and broadcast by Vatican Radio, Radio Clasica (Spain), RAI (Italy).

Marco is currently Artistic Director of the International Chamber Music Festival 'Musica Irpinia', of the "Velia Festival" and of the International Music Association 'A.Toscanini'.
