In May 2001 he took a bachelor degree - with highest distinction- in Performing and Teaching (Organ Musician) at the College of Music in Maastricht. He was also admitted for the Master degree and completed this - with highest distinction likewise - in June 2003. He also deepened his knowledge about different styles with the help of A. Marcon (Italy), N. Hakim (Paris) and others.

In 1995 he received a prize from the 'Druivenstreek' Organ Society during the Flemish Organ Days in Halle. In 1999 Bart accompanied the chamber choir of the College of Music of Maastricht with whom he, along with other recitals, made a radio and CD-recording. He also became laureate of the Ottoboni chamber music contest 2000. In 2002 he became the first laureate of the ninth organ competition in Leiden (The Netherlands). In May 2003 he was responsible - as a soloist- for the opening concert of the 'Organ Weekend Flanders', together with the orchestra Prima La Musica, conducted by Dirk Vermeulen. In the area of 'light music', he was awarded with several distinctions as well. For example: he became laureate of the National Technics Music Academy Contest of Brussels in 1994, so that he represented Belgium on the Technics World Music Festival in Birmingham (Convention Hall England) in 1997.

As a continuo player (harpsichord as well as organ) Bart has built up an excellent reputation too. Together with Francis Reusens (violin) he forms the duo 'La Folia'. He is an established member of the choir orchestra 'La Passione' and of the baroque company 'Symballo'. He has broadcast for Radio Klara, Radio 4 (The Netherlands), L1 Radio (The Netherlands). Bart is organist / curator of the Forceville-organ (+/-1720) in Broechem and of the renovated organ (Stan Arnauts) of the 'Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Onbevlekt church of Lier. He gives regular concerts in the Netherlands and abroad.

Bart is also artistic adviser of the 'Organ committee Saint Gummarus Lier' and of the 'steering committee Silver Organ'. As an organ teacher he is connected to the Art Factory in Duffel. At the secondary art school 'dé Kunsthumaniora' in Lier, Bart is active as a piano accompanist for classical ballet and as a teacher

Bart Rodyns (°Lier 1978) volgde orgel aan de S.A.M.W.D. te Lier bij Dhr. Eduard Govaerts en studeerde er af met grootste onderscheiding.Er werden hem de prijzen Pro Musica, Jos Van Looy, Victor Van Hemel en de Medaille van de Stad Lier toegekend.Aan de Antwerpse kunsthumaiora behaalde hij het diploma Klassieke Muziek Orgel bij Dhr. Dieter Van Handenhoven. Hij studeerde aan het Koninklijk Vlaams Muziekconservatorium te Antwerpen bij Dhr. Joris Verdin.In mei 2001 behaalde hij het Diploma Uitvoerend en Docerend Musicus Orgel (1ste fase) met grote onderscheiding aan het conservatorium van Maastricht bij Mevr. Dorthy de Rooij. Thans bereidt hij zich voor op het behalen van de 2de fase diploma (specialisatie). Ook verdiepte hij zich in verschillende stijlen bij o.a. A. Marcon (Italië), R. Syrier (Nederland).

In 1995 ontving hij op de Vlaamse Orgeldagen te Halle de prijs van de Orgelkring Druivenstreek. In 1999 begeleidde Bart het kamerkoor van het Conservatorium van Maastricht waarmee hij, naast een aantal concerten, ook een radio- en CD opname verzorgde. Tevens werd hij laureaat van de Ottoboni kamermuziekwedstrijd 2000. In 2002 werd hij eerste laureaat van het 9de Orgelconcours te Leiden (Nederland) in de categorie Renaissance-Barok-Rococo. Ook op het gebied van “lichte muziek” werden hem verschillende onderscheidingen toegekend, zo werd hij in 1994 laureaat van de Nationale Technics Music Academy wedstrijd te Brussel waardoor hij in 1997 België vertegenwoordigde op het Technics World Music Festival te Birmingham (Engeland).

Hij volgt klavecimbel bij Dhr. Dominique Riepe. In kamermuziekverband treedt hij regelmatig op als freelance continuospeler, zo werkte hij met verschillende koren en orkesten mee aan groots opgezette projecten van o.a. J.S. Bach, A. Vivaldi, G.F. Handel en C. Monteverdi. Hij verzorgde tevens radio-opnamens voor Radio Klara, Radio op 4 (NL), Radio Limburg (NL).

Bart is organist-titularis van het befaamde Forceville-orgel (+/- 1720) te Broechem en van het onlangs volledig gerenoveerde orgel (Stan Arnauts) van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Onbevlektkerk te Lier. Hij verleent zijn medewerking aan concerten in binnen- en buitenland.
