Born in Altai Siberia, Russia, on April 5, 1978, OKSANA was introduced to the piano at a very young age by her parents, who had noticed in her an exceptional interest in music. At age nine, she already won her first piano competition in Kazakhstan. Today, this adorable little girl has become an accomplished pianist who can play anything from Beethoven’s most challenging works to Billy Joel’s - and just about anything else in between. Oksana came to the United States with her family in 1993 and settled in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Oksana is currently composing the music for her second CD, which she plans to release in late 2002 along with a music video and a modeling calendar. OKSANA’s music is a harmonious blend of classical, new age, folk and world beats, written for piano solo and for other instruments. With each of her works composed during specific moments of great emotional importance, OKSANA faithfully reproduces in her music the sensations felt while composing - and successfully transfers them to her audience.
"PEACE" was recorded on the tragic morning of the September 11 attack and is dedicated to the victims of this inhumane tragedy. (Click hyperlink for sample)
When not busy recording, OKSANA delivers fiery LIVE performances as a soloist and sometimes accompanied by fellow pianist/composer UGO DE AMBROGIO With 17 years of rigorous training as a classical pianist, Oksana's heart and passion always remains within the works of the greatest composers, with Sergei V. Rachmaninov and Sviatoslav Richter her main mentors.
In February 2000 she released the self-titled CD "OKSANA" -- a compilation of renowned classical masterpieces, originally recorded as a souvenir to family members visiting from Italy. This recording is currently available at BORDERS Books & Music stores nationwide and online.
Ever so grateful for her many blessings, Oksana often donates performances to hospitals, churches, schools, retirement homes and various fund-raisers. Oksana resides in Florida with her husband/manager Alessandro Concas. She has a 13 year-old brother and a 14 year-old sister, talented musicians as well, both featured as guest artists in the "OKSANA" recording.
