Cuarteto nuevAmerica was created mostly to perform the music of Luis Fiestas. At the moment it consists of Luis Fiestas, Fabrizio Zanella, Laura Kajander-Fiestas and Marion Göbel.

Fabrizio Zanella studied violin in the Conservatory of Buenos Aires. 1983-1985 he continued his studies with Oleg Krisa in the Tshaikovski-Conservatory in Moscow. He has also participated in many master-classes with such teachers as L. Spiller, N. Braining, A. Lysy and D. Sitkovetski. Fabrizio Zanella worked in the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra since 1982. 1986-1995 he was the fourth violinist of the first violins. He was a member of the Buenos Aires -quartet 1989-1992 and leader of the second violin, first violinist or a soloist in the Orquesta de camara Mayo. In Finland he has worked for example in the Lahti and Helsinki Philharmonic orchestras.

- Marion Göbel, violoncello
Marion Göbel studied in Sibelius Academy and in Tel Aviv, Israel with Varpu Siirala and Marcel Bergman. She got her diploma in 1987.
She has plenty of experience as a chamber musician in several quartets and chamber orchestras, like Vox Artis -chamber orchestra, Tapiola Sinfonietta and Herzlia Chamber Orchestra in Israel.
Currently she teaches in the West Helsinki Music Institute and is an active free-lance musician.
