The creative credo of ensemble is to synthesise classics, jazz and folk in combination with theatrical and stage effects. From the very beginning M-HORN ensemble of horn players became popular among the professional musicians, participating in different concerts of brass ensembles where quartet is given the honour to perform the final part.

In the M-HORN quartet repertoire there is music of India, Scotland, Germany, Israel, South America, Spain, Russia, Uzbekistan, Africa and others countries and continents. Peculiarity and originality of quartet’s compositions are achieved thanks to the unique combination of technical means of contemporary avant-garde music (polyphony, polyrhythm, minimalism etc.), sharp jazz harmonies and traditional rhythms of different musical cultures.

Along with the vast possibilities of the horn as an instrument individual features of each member of ensemble are taken into the account. Besides instrumental compositions ensemble repertoire has compositions with voice. This is music in different styles from the Russian romance to the hits of our days.

Two performers also take part in the project: Karim Suvorov (percussion) and Eugenie Kryuchkov (bass)

All members of the M-HORN quartet are professional trained musicians who are the members of the International Association of the Horn Players. They are really keen on their profession and always keep an eye on horn performance evolution all over the world.

M-HORN quartet became a LAUREAT OF MOSCOW JAZZ FESTIVAL “FESTOS-2002”.

M-HORN quartet has had performances in many halls in Moscow, Moscow region and different Russia’s cities. It performs in jazz and intellectual music clubs. M-HORN quartet also took part in many festivals including ceremony of Nika Movies Award, Day of Moscow News newspaper, Playboy magazine and many others. M-HORN had very successful tour in UK.
