Stephen Leek Stephen Leek is a Queensland-based freelance composer and conductor. As a composer, his distinctive music enigmatically captures the rhythms, colours and ethos of Australia and Australians. In demand both in Australia and on the international circuit, for commissions, residencies, workshops and guest conducting appearances, Stephen Leek manages a hectic free-lance schedule amidst part-time teaching in Composition and Improvisation at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. He is founder, Artistic Director and Conductor of The Australian Voices, an ensemble of elite young adult singers who have a commitment to record, perform, promote and tour the work of Australian composers.

Stephen Leek Stephen Leek and his music have been recognised through various awards including the Sounds Australia National Award for the Most Distinguished Contribution to Australian Fine Music by an Individual and a Churchill Fellowship in recognition of his major achievements in Australian music.
