Cenk Karaferya
is the son of a very musical family.
He began singing as a boy soprano, gradually emerging as a tenor.
He attends Trinity College of Music in London, where he studies voice with John Wakefield and Robert Aldwinckle.
He began singing as a sopranisti in 2000 and already has played the title role of Handel's Ariodante in concert (Istanbul).
Because of his extensive range (A flat blow middle C to high D), his repertoire includes literature one does not usually associate with counter-tenors of his generation.
He works and performs regularly at the Handel House Museum.
"a very individual sound, and a very strong musical idea"
Linda Hirst, commenting on a short recital in the Peacock room. RepertoireOPERA
