Interensemble

Interensemble was born as an independent activity of musical research, following a hard requirement of new things and renewal, and free of links with Schools, ideologies, compositive techniques, and previous organizational strategies. It was founded in 1983 by the Italian composer and pianist Bernardino Beggio as a result of a cultural operation of renewal and opening towards contemporary musical production that had taken place in the preceding years at the Conservatory of Padua. The validity of the way of working that had its principal characteristics in experiment and multiple disciplines was immediately recognized aven at an international level with the first tours done throughout Europe. The progressive widening of the repertoire has brought the Interensemble to travel practically all the musical itineraries of the 20th century from Ravel and Stravinsky to Cage, Stockhausen, Berio and Donatoni, from Glass and Reich to Nyman and Piazzolla, up to the present generation of composers, from computer music to musical theatre, from music with popular roots to the minimalist experience.

Interensemble has the unusual yet advantageous ability to interchange numerous instrumental formations within the group itself, allowing them to realize a wider range of repertory. The group can range anywhere from soloist to 10 elements or more, with the possibility of unique modifications and integration. Classic formations are also used, such as the string quartet and the flute-clarinet-violin-cello-piano quintet, in addition to lesser-known combinations such as voice-clarinets-electric guitar-viola d'amore, and electronics.

It has recorded for the Italian RAI, the Belgian BRT, the Irish RTE, the Polish, Czech, Croatian, Rumanian and Egyptian National Radios, and has done numerous tours in Poland, Germany, France, Great Britain, Finland, Greece, Czech Republic,Croatia, Belgium, Ireland, Egypt, Rumania, Mexico and USA.

It has also recorded a number of CDs.
