S. Timothy Glasscock
, 36, is a native Kentuckian and has worked exclusively
in vocal/choral music for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelors and Master's
degree in music from The University of Louisville and is a Candidate for the
Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting at the Universtiy of
Kentucky. As Artistic Director of The Louisville Chorus, the state's
longest thriving choral arts agency, he conducts a group of 50 singers in
an average twelve-concert season in the Metro-Louisville area. A
professional vocal ensemble, The Louisville Chorus performs with other area
arts agencies including The Louisville Orchestra, The Louisville Bach
Society, The Commonwealth Brass Band, and various other organizations as the
occasion arises.
Mr. Glasscock is also Director of Vocal Studies at The Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville Kentucky. The Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) is one of only a handful of strictly Arts-based high schools in the country and is also considered an Arts magnet for the prestigious Dupont Manual High School, one of the top high school in America. At YPAS, Glasscock conducts four choirs including a Chamber Ensemble, Boy's Choir, Girl's Choir and the Concert Choir which has performed internationally and was chosen to perform with the Marine Band at the 2001 presidential inauguration.
He is available for clinics, All-State and Regional choirs, choral/orchestral masterworks, and masterclasses.
