Marc Giacone Born in 1954 in Monaco (Europe), Marc Giacone studied organ with the Masters Emile Bourdon (who was a pupil of Louis Vierne), Chanoine Henri Carol, Jean Wallet, improvisation with the Master Pierre Cochereau who was, at that time, director of the CNR of Nice (France) and composition, harmony, counterpoint and orchestration.

Composer, experimenter in electroacoustics, improvisation virtuoso, he belongs to the new generation of contemporary musicians for whom all the musical forms can find their place in a masterpiece, even combining jazz, fusion, folklore, atonality, dodecaphony, sound effects, etc. In 1979, he created in Cannes his Symphony for Organ and Synthesizer, and in 1981, he created in Germany, during two successive recitals, his Cosmic Symphony for Organ, consisting of 14 movements for a total 3 hours duration.

Among his recent creations, he composed in April 2001 The Paddler of the Zambezi, a kind of dance built on African rhythms and in April 2002 he composed a Dances Suite for organ (Dance with 5 steps, Dance with 7 steps, Pulsation-Prelude and Brumes) presented during the music festival of June 21th, 2002. In 2003, he produced K-Dance and Sonata Triadena, two large concert organ works. He composes also for harp, flute, trombone, vibraphone, orchestra, cinema, television, radio, etc. He currently gives courses (masterclasses) in organ improvisation, and is responsible for the artistic direction of Rendez-Vous de l'Orgue Vivant (organization of recitals on the historical Grinda Organ of l'Escarene, in the Alpes Maritimes, France). He is also harmonist and acoustics expert, intervening regularly on various organs for a partial or general fix or tuning. He regularly gives organ recitals in Europe and has published two CDs on which he recorded some of his compositions. This year, Marc Giacone began the performance of the entire Johann Sebastian Bach organ works and he is also preparing a recording of the six Preludes and Fugues of Marcel Dupré.
