Walter Gatti began his musical studied at the age of seven. He graduated in Organ and Organ composition and in harpsichord at "Antonio Vivaldi" Conservatoire of Alessandria . His teachers were Massimo Nosetti, Andrea Coen and Francesca Lanfranco. He took further studies with Enzo Corti, Letizia Romiti, Reihnard Jaud, Rénè Saorgin, Christopher Kent and Jean-Claude Zehnder. He has also studied choral conducting with Sebastian Korn and composition with Riccardo Piacentini at the "Antonio Vivaldi" academy of music in Alessandria. He graduated at the VI International Organ Contest in Varenna, Italy and he won special harpsichord interpretation prize "Paola Bernardi" at the IV Harpsicord Contest "Gianni Gambi" in Pesaro, Italy. Since 1988 he has played regularly as a soloist (organ) and as chamber musician as harpsichordist in choral and instrumental ensembles. He has played over 250 concerts in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and, of course, in Italy. In 1995 he was appointed titular organist of the St. Leonard Church in Reconvilier-Chaindon near Bern in Switzerland . Since 1988 he has been titular organist of the Protestant Church (S.Giovanni) in Luserna. Since 2002 he has also been Organist at the Waldensian Church in Torre Pellice. He is the founder and conductor of "Gruppo Musica" (now "Gruppo corale e strumentale Ferruccio Rivoir") which he has led since 1991. This is a vocal and instrumental ensemble which has performed in France, Switzerland and Northern Italy and made a television broadcast for RAI (Protestantesimo) and a CD recording in Marseille with his "The 150th Psalm" during the 2nd Festival de La Sainte Baume. He has composed for organ, choir, piano, brass ensemble, orchestral ensemble and for synthesizers, and several of his composition have been published in Italy (by Musica Practica, Turin (www.musicapractica.it)) and Germany (by Andreas Goldbach, St.Ingbert (www.goldbachverlag.de)). He plays regularly with the Chamber orchestra and choir of the University of Bamberg in Germany and with the "Roberto Goitre" choir of Turin, Italy (www.goitre.it). He teaches Organ and Musical Theory at the Civic School of Luserna San Giovanni and organ and harpsichord at the Civic School of Music of Pinerolo. He is the artistic director of the International Organ Season "Jeux d'Orgues" in the Pellice Valley of Piemont in Italy .

Si è diplomato in clavicembalo sotto la guida di Andrea Coen e Francesca Lanfranco, in organo e composizione organistica sotto la guida di Massimo Nosetti ed in Musica corale e Direzione di coro con Sergio Pasteris presso i Conservatori "Antonio Vivaldi" di Alessandria e "Giuseppe Verdi" di Torino. Ha studiato inoltre direzione di coro con Sebastian Korn. Si è perfezionato in seguito con Letizia Romiti, Reinhard Jaud, Enzo Corti, Christopher Kent, Jean-Claude Zehnder, Rèné Saorgin .

Diploma di merito alla VI edizione del Torneo Internazionale di Musica sezione organo e premio speciale di interpretazione "Paola Bernardi" al IV concorso di esecuzione clavicembalistica "Gianni Gambi" a Pesaro. Nel 1992 ha curato la direzione artistica della " Rassegna Primaverile " della Comunità Montana della Val Pellice per la valorizzazione del patrimonio organario della valle stessa . Ha ricoperto la carica, nel 1995, di organista titolare della chiesa protestante di Reconvilier Chaindon nel Jura bernese (Svizzera). E' organista, dal 1988, presso la chiesa valdese di Luserna S.Giovanni e dal 1998 è titolare. Dal 2002 è inoltre organista presso il Tempio Valdese di Torre Pellice. Compositore di musica per coro, organo, pianoforte e altri diversi organici; suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati in Italia (presso Musica Pratica , Torino (www.musicapractica.it) e in Germania (presso Andreas Goldbach, St.Ingbert (www.goldbachverlag.de) . Dal 1991 dirige il "Gruppo Musica", dal 2003 "Gruppo vocale e strumentale Ferruccio Rivoir" ensemble corale e strumentale aperto al più ampio panorama musicale con il quale svolge normale attività concertistica in Svizzera, Francia e Italia ed ha effettuato registrazioni per la RAI (rubrica "Protestantesimo") e un incisione su CD per conto dell' "Ensemble Poliphonique en Provence" durante il 2ème Festival de la Sainte Baume (Marsiglia 1997).

Collabora regolarmente con l'orchestra ed il coro dell'Università di Bamberg in Germania, con il coro ed Orchestra "Adoramus" di Londra e con il Coro "Roberto Goitre" (www.goitre.it) di Torino.

Insegna attualmente organo, composizione organistica e clavicembalo presso il Civico Istituto Musicale "Arcangelo Corelli" di Pinerolo ed organo e teoria e solfeggio alla Scuola di Musica Intercomunale della Val Pellice a Luserna S.Giovanni, in provincia di Torino. E' direttore artistico di "Jeux d'Orgues" stagione organistica della Val Pellice.

En suite il se tourne vers l'orgue et devient titulaire des diplômes d'orgue, clavecin et direction de choeur au Conservatoire de Musique de la ville d'Alessandria (Piémont). Il a étudié avec les maîtres Massimo Nosetti, Andrea Coen, Francesca Lanfranco, Concetta Anastasi et Sergio Pasteris et a suivi les cours d'interpretation de J.C.Zehnder , R.Jaud , Ch.Kent , L.Romiti et R.Saorgin. Etudes supérieures en composition avec Riccardo Piacentini et direction de choeur avec Sebastian Korn. Etudes parallèles en Electronique. Lauréat avec un diplôme de mérite au VI Tournoi International de Musique, section orgue, à Varenna (Italie) et prix d'interprétation "Paola Bernardi" au IV Concours National "Gianni Gambi" pour clavecinistes à Pesaro, ville de Rossini.

Il a fondé et dirige, du 1991, le "Gruppo Musica" actuellement "Gruppo vocale e strumentale Ferruccio Rivoir" groupe vocal et instrumental , avec le quel il s'est produit en Suisse et en France, notamment au "2ème Festival International de la Sainte - Baume", Marseille 1997.

Il a été titulaire des orgues de l'église reformée St. Léonard de Reconvilier - Chaindon en Suisse pendant le 1995. Il est organiste titulaire depuis 1988, de l' Eglise Reformée Vaudoise de Luserna S.Giovanni ou il donne des nombreux récitals et où il est directeur artistique de la saison "Jeux d'Orgues" (Vallées Vaudoises du Piemont ). Il enseigne l'orgue à l'Ecole de Musique de la Val Pellice et l'orgue et le clavecin à l'Institut "Arcangelo Corelli" de la ville de Pignerol. Il à compose musique pour piano, orgue, cuivres, orchestre et choeur. Ses compositions sont publiées en Italie (chez Musica Practica, Turin (www.musicapractica.it ) et en Allemagne (chez Andreas Goldbach Verlag, St,Ingbert (www.goldbachverlag.de) Il travaille régulièrement avec l'orchestre de l'Université de Bamberg en Allemagne, l'orchestre "Adoramus" de Londre et le choeur "Roberto Goitre" (www.goitre.it) de Turin. Il est directeur artistique du Festival "Jeux d'Orgues".

WALTER GATTI , Organist, Komponist, Cembalist, Chorleiter: Beginnt mit 7 Jahren das Klavierstudium. Diplomiert sich in Orgel, Orgelkompositionen u. Cembalo am Konservatorium " A . Vivaldi " in Alessandria. Studierte bei M . Nosetti orgel, bei A.Coen u. F.Lanfranco cembalo. Weitere Ausbildungen mit Sebastian Korn u. Concetta Anastasi Chorleitung und mit Riccardo Piacentini Komposition. Parallel Ausbildung in elektronik. Besuchte Interpretationskurse der " Maestri " Reinhard Jaud, Enzo Corti, Christopher Kent, Letizia Romiti, Jean - Claude Zehnder und Rèné Saorgin. Verdienstdiplom am VI Internationalermusikwettbewerb im fach orgel in Varenna, September 1996 (Italien). Preis "Paola Bernardi" am IV Nationalcembalowettbewerb in Pesaro (Stadt vom Gioacchino Rossini), Mai 2001.

Seit 1988 macht er regelmässige Konzertaktivität sowohl als Solist als auch als Begleiter von Chören, Solisten und Orchestern:

1992 pflegte er die artistische Direktion der "Rassegna Primaverile" durch die Comunità Montana Val Pellice und die Region Piemonte über das Vermögen der Orgelbauen in gleichnamigen Tal. 1995 war er amtlicher Organist an der protestatischen Kirche von Reconvilier - Chaindon im Berner Jura (CH). Komponiert für Chor - Orgel - und andere Instrumente. Interessiert sich als Komponist auch für den Aspekt der Musiktherapeutik . Seiner Kompositionen sind in Italien und in Deutschland herausgegeben.
