Capelin Media
provides sound-recording services for the broadcast and music industries, working on location, in studios, and editing / mastering.
Since 1994, Capelin Media has worked on broadcast documentaries, current affairs and sport for most of the broadcast networks in this country (and a number from beyond these shores), as well as corporate work. Facilities include a full stereo PSC sound kit with some of the most up-to-date equipment around. DAT (non-timecode) is always available (if requested) for recording atmos and voiceover. Special requirements including timecode DAT, playback, TBU and comms can all be catered for.
Located in the centre of the UK, Capelin Media is within easy range of the many of our major towns and cities.
Proprietor Simon Jones' training in music and sound recording has enabled him to experiment with many techniques and styles, covering Classical music - intimate solo works, chamber ensembles, choirs and orchestras; Jazz - trad, and modern; and Rock, Pop, and Folk. He enjoys a very wide variety of music, and works equally happily in a studio or on location.
CD packages Following several enquiries we have put together a couple of flexible packages for musicians of all types: One person to deal with recording, editing, mastering, manufacture, copyright and even artwork. Links with some of the best facilities and some of the nicest people in the industry enable us to tailor packages to suit individuals, groups, bands, ensembles, choirs and orchestras. Because of this flexibility we can work to typical 'amateur' (many so-called amateurs are extremely skilled) budgets or provide top-quality facilities for professionals.
