This music, chosen by flautist Matej Zupan, brings a varied
selection from the flute catalogue, ranging from solos to ensemble music
in several different combinations; the two duo compositions are particularly
interesting. The profile of this repertoire is based on the stylistic and
historical progression of the development of music written for the flute,
which in the beginning (Vivaldi and Haydn) was still based on substitution,
i.e. arrangements for flute, or offered the possibility of interchanging
the flute with other (soprano) instruments.
