Although having always a very professional behaviour, Annelise Theodoloz has a very sparkling personality : she loves to sing and to communicate with the public and her colleagues. A particularity which is extremely well perceived by the public and the journalists. Her understanding and knowledge of music have always been felt by her colleagues and the music directors as a pleasure : they know they can rely on her in every situation.
In her earliest youth and due to her innate musical quality, she played the violin and became the pupil in violin of Ms. Carl Flesch and Mo Tibor Varga. As an adolescent, she decided to dedicate herself totally to singing: she was a brilliant award-winning graduate of the Lausanne Conservatory and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her multiple talents allowed her also to win a number of prizes and awards (Concours International de Lied et d'Oratorio de Clermont-Ferrand 1995, Prix du Centenaire du Conservatoire de Lausanne, Prix du Memorial Stephane Clivaz).
Since the very beginning of her soloist career, she has performed in major concert halls, Festivals, and on radios, with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Amsterdamse Bach Solisten, Mercure Galant, Solistes de Lyon, and Orchestre National de Lyon among many others in Europe, as well as in the Middle East, Japan and Canada. She works with conductors such as Mi Michel Corboz, Jesus Lopez Cobos, Janos Kovacs, Herve Niquet, Jean-Yves Ossonce, Helmuth Rilling, or Bernard Tetu.
On stage, she started at the National Hungarian Opera in the roles of Dorabella and Dalila under its conductor Mo Janos Kovacs. The press underlined "a remarkable intense and passionate presence" as well as a "sublime voice with a rich and seductive timbre". In 1998, she made her debut in France as Bradamante (in Alcina from Haendel) at the Opera de Nancy et de Lorraine, where Joel Kasow underligned her "plummy contralto". She also obtained a great success as Aloes (L'Etoile from Chabrier) at the Opera de Fribourg, and as Ursule in Beatrice et Benedict from Berlioz at the Opera de Nancy et de Lorraine, the Grand Theatre de Tours, and the Theatre de Caen.
She is currently extending her repertory towards the one of soprano dramatico, with Leonora's arie from Verdi's "La Forza del Destino" in September 2000. But please review her calendar to discover details of the program.
Annelise Théodoloz débuta son parcours musical en tant que violoniste auprès de Mme Carl Flesch et Me Tibor Varga. Par la suite, elle se dédia au chant qu'elle étudia au Conservatoire de Lausanne et à la Guildhall School of Music and Drama de Londres (avec des prix d'excellence). Annelise Théodoloz a surtout travaillé le répertoire du Belcanto avec Mme Lucia Valentini Terrani. Elle étend actuellement son répertoire de mezzo-soprano vers celui de soprano lirico spinto.
Dès le début de sa carrière, elle se produisit dans de nombreux festivals internationaux en tant que soliste avec l'Orchestre National de Lyon, l'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, l'Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, l'Amsterdamse Bach Solisten et l'Israël Chamber Orchestra. En 1999, elle a interprété des œuvres de Bach, Dvorak, Gounod, Händel, Mendelssohn, Pergolesi, Rossini, Schumann avec, entre autres, l'Orchestre Phil- harmonique de Vidin, la Sinfonietta de Lausanne, le Quatuor Sine Nomine, le Mercure Galant et les Solistes de Lyon.
Annelise Théodoloz se démarque par son attitude professionnelle, appréciée par le milieu musical. Pétillante de vivacité dans son jeu scénique et avec une voix porteuse d’émotions, elle sait dialoguer intensément avec les artistes et le public.
Elle fit ses débuts scéniques à l'Opéra National de Hongrie, où elle interpréta Dorabella et Dalila sous la direction de Me Janos Kovács. Invitée par l’Opéra de Nancy et de Lorraine pour y interpréter Bradamante dans Alcina de Händel, son timbre a été immédiatement remarqué par Joël Kasow et Ivan Alexandre. Ce succès se répéta à l’Opéra de Fribourg avec Aloès dans L’Étoile de Chabrier : la presse l’accueillit avec enthousiasme. Cependant, ce sera avec le second rôle d’Ursule dans Béatrice et Bénédict de Berlioz, sous la direction de Me Jean-Yves Ossonce, aux Théâtres de Nancy, Caen et Tours, qu’Annelise Théodoloz fera l’unanimité de la presse musicale qui la qualifiera comme la révélation de la distribution.
En septembre 2000, lors d’un récital au Théâtre Interface sur le thème des "Couleurs d'une voix", Annelise Théodoloz présentera des pièces allant de la période baroque au belcanto, alliant des airs pour mezzo-soprano lyrique et dramatique, soprano lirico spinto et soprano dramatique. Ce récital offrira une très large palette de choix musicaux, aux rythmes et couleurs variés, dont, entre autres, les fameux airs de Leonora de "La Forza del Destino". Le public pourra y apprécier la richesse de son médium et la rondeur et la puissance de ses aigus, en s’altérant auprès de vocalises à tour de rôle rapides ou langoureuses .
