Alim Shakhmametyev The conductor Alim Shakhmametyev was born in Leningrad in 1975. Following studies at the Glinka Choir School and the Rimsky-Korsakov music school, he studied choral conducting with Professor F. Kozlov for five years and opera and symphonic conducting with Prof. I. Musin and Prof. A. Polishchuk at The St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire.

His work conducting chamber and symphony orchestras and choirs has included:

"Euterpe" chamber theatre, conductor

1997, July:
active participation in Weimar Masterkurs with Weimar State Cappella (Orchestra Conducting, prof. George A. Albrecht)

concert in Glazunov Hall with St. Petersburg Conservatoire Choir and Orchestra
