Ron Severin is US and Canadian Representative for Jaeger-Brommer Orgelbau, Waldkirch Germany, and also operates as Church Organ Systems of Orange County, CA.
Ron Severin has worked as a consultant for churches desiring fine organs and fine music programs in California. His early pipe organ training was with a small pipe organ shop in Los Angeles during the fifties. He supervised installations and service work, designing his first organ in 1967, and seeing it to completion. Other work has included moving organs from one church to another, and restoring when necessary. Severin is also an experienced tuner.
A retired teacher, Ron has 46 years experience playing and directing choirs in most denominational settings -- Catholic, Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist Presbyterian, and Baptist. He has traveled extensively in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Luxemborg, Holland and has a well-rounded knowledge of the instruments there, which also informs his tonal outlook as a consultant.
Ron Severin was born in Los Angeles in 1942, and has lived there
ever since. He is married, with three children and three grandchildren.
