Scandinavian Baroque Trio
"elegant and reflective playing" ("elegant och inlevelsefullt spel")
Susanne Bågenfelt, Eskilstuna Kuriren 24/5 94

Scandinavian Baroque Trio was founded in 1991 with the purpose of investigating the early music for violin, viola da gamba and harpsicord. Currently we are working with the development of the trio sonata from its origin in Italy and the south of Germany to the culmination in northern Germany represented by Dietrich Buxtehude. Scandinavian Baroque Trio has been touring in the Nordic Countries, Germany and France.

Scandinavian Baroque Trio consists of:

Roland Kjellström, violin
Peter Lönnerberg, harpsicord and organ
Jens Nørbæk, viola da gamba

The trio has released an album of early instrumental music, entitled "Stylus Phantasticus".

"The intensity of a trio is well-defined with this excellent group of Scandinavian musicians". (mp3.com)
