Mario Parmisano In February 2000, Mario commenced his tour in the United States with Al Di Meola which ended with several performances at the famous Jazz Club in New York: "Blue Note."

After spending some time in his own country, Argentina, Mario finally created his own record label: "Parmi Music", which enables him to not only become an independent producer, but also allows him to increase his record sales through the Tower Records distribution chain.

He then returned to the United States in March in order to record the new Al Di Meola C.D. "The Grand Passion" with the participation of: John Patitucci, Arto Tunboyacian and the "Toronto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the Italian Musical Director Fabrizio Festa.

In this new recording, Mario Parmisano participates as: pianist, arranger, composer and associate producer.

Upon returning to Argentina, Mario presented his new contemporary Jazz Group on the national television channels: 7 and 13 as well as the San Martin Theatre in Buenos Aires, and other local Jazz clubs.

In June 2000, Mario, together with Al Di Meola, began a World Tour introducing the new C.D. "The Grand Passion", giving performances at the : New York City JVC Jazz Festival; the Montreal Jazz Festival; and at other International Jazz Festivals in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Israel, Greece as well as on the Isles of Cyprus and Corcega.

During August and September, Mario introduced his "Quartet" in several Buenos Aires Jazz Clubs and also was the musical accompanist to the Spanish singer: Rocio Jurado at the "Avenue Theatre" in Buenos Aires and at the "Conrad Casino Hotel" in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

In October,2000, Al Di Meola, Mario Parmisano and the percussionist: Gilad gave three unforgettable performances with the "Amadeus Chamber Orchestra", directed by Agnieska Duczmal in Wrockow, Poznan and Warsaw, Poland. Their last Polish performance in Warsaw was transmitted through out the entire country via national television.

In November, Mario continued to perform though out the United States,"The Grand Passion" on the World Tour with Al Di Meola. Their last performance on this Tour was held in Los Angeles and shared with famous guitarists: Larry Carlton and Robben Ford.

On January 10th, 2001, Mario Parmisano and his Jazz Group performed in Santiago, Chile in front an audience of 6,000 people. His concert was transmitted on national radio and television through out Chile.
