Brazilian Classical guitarist Alexandre Moschella has performed at the most prestigious concert halls since 1991 when, at the age of 21, he was chosen to play at TV Cultura, the main television channel devoted to the cultural activity in Brazil.
In chamber music and as a soloist, Moschella qualified twice for the Eldorado Music Award, the main Classical music award in the country, which includes all music instruments. Below are some of his achievements and performances:
- 1999:
- As a soloist, Moschella was semi-finalist at the Eldorado Music Award (São Paulo).
J. S. Bach's "Prelude" from Suite BWV 995, played by Moschella in his own arrangement, was December's top piece at the site Novamúsica , which features Brazilian musicians of all genres and instruments.
- 1998:
- Moschella was offered a place at Welsh College of Music and Drama, on the Master of Arts course. A special entrance scholarship was offered due to his acclaimed performance at the audition.
- 1997:
- Moschella has won the second prize at the Musicalis National Guitar Competition (São Paulo, Brazil).
He was semi-finalist at the Eldorado Music Award, playing with Gustavo Costa (Costa & Moschella Guitar Duo).
- 1996:
- Concluded his graduation in Music (Guitar) at Santa Marcelina School (São Paulo).
Began his studies with acclaimed Scottish guitarist Paul Galbraith.
Gave the Brazil's premiére of "Tres Danzas Concertantes", by the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer, as a soloist with L'Estro Armonico Orchestra.
- 1995:
- Playing with Gustavo Costa (Costa & Moschella Guitar Duo), Alexandre Moschella has won the first prize at the Souza Lima Guitar National Competition (São Paulo - 1995).
