Jure Mesec
Bassoon
Jure Mesec was born on March 14th, 1972 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He started playing bassoon at the age of 14, and aged 25 graduated in bassoon at the Ljubljana Academy of music.
He was for three years principal bassoonist at the Ljubljana Opera house and has given successful solo concerts together with orchestra and piano.
In addition to the classical repertoire, he also plays other types of music, such as swing, pop and film music.
He is intending to develop further his solo and teaching work.
