Violin: classical and Irish
Cady Finlayson is a classically trained violinist who also performs in the band for Irish singer Pierce Turner. Her four years with this band have included performances at numerous New York clubs and festivals such as Fez, Tramps, The Bottom Line, Fiddlesticks, Swifts, the Guiness Festival, the New York Oyster Festival, and the Three Rivers Festival in Pittsburgh.
Ms. Finlayson has also performed with the Irish folk-rock band The McCabes and as The McCabe Duo in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Her most recent recording credits include the soundtrack to the Irish film 'Snakes and Ladders,' a Holly Palmer CD (Warner Brothers), Sean McCabe's CD Ships are Sailing, and a video for Aer Lingus.
Her classical experience includes performances with The Westchester Symphony, the New World Symphony, the Sebastian String Quartet, and chamber music festivals in France, Switzerland, Wyoming, and Texas. Cady Finlayson holds a Master's degree in Violin Performance from Mannes College of Music in New York City.
