Michael Fine 1992 GRAMMY Award winning Classical Producer of the Year, Michael Fine was formerly Vice President of Artists & Repertoire at Deutsche Grammophon. The first American to hold the post of Artistic Director of the hundred year old label, Fine produced the label's top-selling releases for 1997, 1998 and 1999 - A Hymn for the World and Voices from Heaven with Cecilia Bartoli, Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel and Myung-Whun Chung and Anne-Sophie Mutter's new recording of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. Responsible for overseeing the recording activity of the prestigious label, Fine personally produced the recordings of Anne-Sophie Mutter, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Myung-Whun Chung. Most recently, Fine produced the world premiere recording of Leonard Bernstein's White House Cantata with June Anderson and Thomas Hampson, Kent Nagano conducting. Prior to joining DGG in 1997, he was Vice President & General Manager of KOCH International Classics, a label he launched in 1990 with the critically-acclaimed world premiere recording of Leonard Bernstein's Arias and Barcarolles. This international best seller won a GRAMMY Award and appeared on BILLBOARD's crossover chart. Under Fine's direction the label quickly developed a reputation as one of the most innovative in the world: as Fanfare Magazine put it: "the most consistently interesting label." At KOCH, Fine recorded scores of premiere recordings by living composers. Over the past 12 years, Fine has produced, engineered and edited over 700 releases for international distribution. Six of his recordings have won GRAMMY Awards, one has won the coveted Deutsche Schallplatten, one a Gramophone Award. Seven have made the BILLBOARD best seller charts, and four have won INDIE Awards. Prior to his position at KOCH, Mr. Fine launched Stradivari Classics, and was the first head of Nimbus Records in the U.S. In 1993, he won an award for the Advancement of Women in Music.

Tamra Saylor Fine Tamra Saylor Fine has enjoyed a varied career as performer, administrator and educator. She has appeared on recordings in an unusual mix of keyboard instruments - from organ in the first recording of Rozsa's complete score for El Cid, to theremin for a recording of Rozsa's The Lost Weekend, to honky tonk piano in a disc of Victor Young and as orchestral pianist in recordings from Korea and New Zealand. A founder of the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, she managed the ensemble for its first eights years, during which it established four concert series and produced 6 CDs. The recordings resulted in her marriage to Michael, whom she met while negotiating the SDCO's recording contract. Following her relocation to the East Coast to join her husband, they together established Fine Sound Productions, an independent recording and consulting company. While General Manager of the SDCO, she served on the Policy Committee of the American Symphony Orchestra League and led seminars at their national conference. Prior to her work with the SDCO, Tammy taught choral and orchestral music to elementary and high school students, and performed as violist in a local professional orchestra.
