Notes from the critics

"we must applaud the performance of the conductor Leonard DUMITRIU who is in perfect control of all the difficulties in the score"

"the conductor Leonard DUMITRIU led the whole ensemble with a very firm conducting technique"

"the author of this original chamber opera demonstrates new methods of composition and the work extends the [chamber opera] genre"

"Dumitriu is teaching the singers the differences between Mozart and Verdi, as well as the differences between early and late Verdi. First, he finds out how much the singers know already. Then, he works on the recitatives, which are musical declamations or expressions of dialogue, as opposed to the lyrical arias, duets, trios, choruses, etc."

Notes from publishers

“The sonata for Tuba solo ventures into a new direction for Puna Music and the publishing industry in general; an unaccompanied work for tuba is extremely adventurous. Puna Music is privileged to introduce such a fine piece to American audiences.”
(PUNA Music)

“3 Works for String Orchestra, a very musical and practical work, with shimmering tone color and rhythmical effects in it”
(Copy-us publishing)

“The Taming of the Shrew, an entertaining and thrilling grand opera, tradition- conscious”
(Copy-us publishing)
