Cuarteto Chanchullo
Jazz, folk music
Cuarteto Chanchullo Cuarteto Chanchullo is a fine Cuban band carrying the heritages from jazz together with the best Latin standards. It was formed in the summer 1999 by four young Cuban musicians on tour around Europe. The success was inmediate: they play a perfect program suited for easy-listening latin standards, dance and even background music for small or big places.

The talent of Cuban saxophonist, flutist and singer Leandro Saint-Hill make Chanchullo a delicious mixture with the likes of Ricardo Alvarez on the piano, Omar R. Calvo on basses and the excellent percussionist Silvano Mustelier. Songs are beautifully arranged, the most by musical director Alvarez, and includes classics from Frank Emilio, Latin standards by Piñeiro and Peruchín as well as some Cuban timeless standards by Compay Segundo, Matamoros, Rubén González and Benny Moré.

Cuarteto Chanchullo is able to play Cuban dance music as well. So the band can perform also in a dance-oriented event. Due to its high quality performance, this quartet is really a good choice for fine parties, special events, club concerts and festivals. A good chance to hear and feel the Latin mood in a jazz fashion!
