Emanuel Altenburger was born in Kufstein/Tirol-Austria.
At 6 years Emanuel Altenburger started singing with Howard Arman in the choir of the Innsbrucker Capellknaben. Emanuel Altenburger sang the part of the 1st boy soprano in Mozart´s "Zauberflöte"-Magic Flute conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner with the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists. During the "Festwochen der Alten Musik Innsbruck" he sang one of the "3 Cupids" in John Blow´s baroque opera "Venus and Adonis" conducted by René Jacobs. Emanuel Altenburger sang with Howard Arman in Benjamin Britten´s "St.Nicolas" and in a Christmas Oratorio with cantatas of G.B.Mocchi, J.J.Stolter, J.Vierdanck. In a "Festkonzert" for 1000 years Austria E. Altenburger sang his last concert as a soprano-soloist with Howard Arman in the Hofburg. Emanuel Altenburger worked with singers (opera and concert) like Michael Schade, Gerald Finley, Christiane Oelze, Detlef Roth, Constanze Backes, KS. Uwe Peper, Harry Peeters, Nicola Sharkey, John Bowen, Paula Hoffmann, Dominique Visse, Bernhard Landauer,- with conductors like Sir John Eliot Gardiner, René Jacobs, Howard Arman, -with ensembles like "The English Baroque Soloists", "The Monteverdi Choir", "Academy of Ancient Music", "Collegium Vocale Gent", "Salzburg Bachchoir", "Choir Mozarteum Salzburg". With 6 years Emanuel Altenburger started singing with Howard Arman in the choir of the Innsbrucker Capellknaben. Emanuel Altenburger attended the Music-Gymnasium in Innsbruck and studies at the Conservatory for Music with Barbara Daniels. At the Austrian Music Competition "Prima La Musica" in Feldkirch Emanuel Altenburger came in first (1st prize) and also got a special prize, the "Baerenreiter Urtext Prize".
