Mirsa Adami

Mirsa Adami was born in 1975 in Tirana, Albania, where her mother gave her her first piano lessons when she was five years old. She continued her studies under the tuition of Elsa Veizi at the "Jordan Misja" music lyceum in Tirana.
From 1986 on she regularly gave recitals and played with several orchestras in Albania In 1990 she won the first prize in a youth competition in Stresa, Italy and played a year later in the Doelen hall in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She started her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in The Netherlands under the tuition of Jan Wijn in 1993. In 1995 she played Ravel's Piano concerto in G with "Sinfonieta Jong Nederland" conducted by Roland Kieft and played at the piano marathon of the Prinsengracht Festival in Amsterdam and at the Interfest Bitola in Macedonia in 1996. She took master classes with Vladimir Tropp, Georgy Sebok, Eugen Indjic, Lee kum Sing, John Perry, John O' Conner, Marie-Françoise Bucquet and Leon Fleischer. In 1998 she graduated with a teaching diploma at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. In 1999 she won a scholarship from Yamaha, played the Schumann Piano Concerto in Germany and Switserland and gave a concert in the Eglise St. Merry in Paris, France. Mirsa graduated as a Second-Phase soloist at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2000 and in the same year was chosen during the Summer Academy by Holland Music Sessions as musician of the year. She is very active as a soloist performer as well as in chamber music and will continue her studies at Maria Stroo and Ton Hartsuiker in the Netherlands as well as with Eugen Indjic in Paris.
